I've you've never heard of Nondor Nevai, you've got a lot of catching up to do. Since the early Nineties, Nondor's body of work defies categorization and encompasses music, visual art, film, performance, writing and beyond. His sporadic live performances have become mythic fodder, generally ending in total chaos and/or confusion.

These days to really make it, one has to be willing to put oneself in a tiny little, predictible box - Nondor proceeds to rip the box to shreds every single time, which is why he remains a cult legend to those who have been lucky enough to find his output or cross his path. Imagine if you will a mix of GG Allin, Otto Meuhl, Andy Kaufman, Kim Fowley, Ted Kaczynski, Charles Ives, Gurdjieff and Dennis Hopper.

His musical output - created and distributed haphazardly for a series of obscure imprints such as his own Flemish Masters and mm-you-sick?! labels - runs the gamut from LSD fueled karaoke, string trio improv-grind, bubblegum scumpop, warped black metal, crystal meth enhanced player- piano modernist composition, haywire industrial music and much, much more. His recurring motifs include bizarre wordplay, a fascination with low-register instrumentation and heavy-metal speed and intensity.

Harkening back to the raw, rhythmic noise of early '80s groups like DAF and SPK, the dynamic duo of Nevai and Wolcott issue forth a salvo of timeless WEIRD. Ben is known for his careening electronic gadgetry operations in the long-lived noise ensemble To Live and Shave in L.A. and it's nice to hear him relatively unobstructed for a change! Nondor has an odd penchant for motorik, almost funky beats here, but you can always count on unexpected twists when he's around. Back in '97, I was talking on the phone with my legendary/notorious pal Nondor Nevai and he wanted to trade his new cd for mine. I said sure. What he sent me blew my mind. The original CD-R version featured some truly eye-fucking Photoshop damage (including a homoerotic studio shot of NN oiled and leaning against a motorcycle) and some severe audio damage that i could have never predicted.

Basically, this CD is a documentation of some truly staggering stream-of-consciousness improvisation involving found music and words, delay pedal and vocals. What you're hearing is total ID-VOMIT in real time. Middle School rapping, altered Stryper lyrics, suicide notes and total gibberish delivered with realtime falling-over-a-cliff reverb manipulations on top of whatever random musical garbage was within reach (most notibly Arthur Fiedler's version of the Bee Gees "Night Fever").

This is a stunning tour-de-force of chillingly surreal proportions. Back in the early 2000s, most copies of this pressing fell into limbo due to some shady events, but NN finally found a few sealed copies of this gem and we're proud to offer them to latecomers. Supplies are limited on this incredibly RARE and hard-to-find artifact.
